VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: Manchester United beats Chelsea (3-1), Old Trafford, English Premier League 2011/12, live updates - 3 Sport - Video - 3 News

Hey guys sorry for the lack of posts, life has been a little crazy. Anyway, to catch up here are some video highlights of the past few games. If you read my last post, I predicted a 3-1 United win vs Chelsea and that's exactly what happened. This game was the first without Cleverley and as you'll see over the next few posts, United has struggled in the midfield looking a little slow and not as creative. Wayne Rooney did miss a penalty that would have made it 4-1 but the highlight of this game was Fernando Torres's HUGE miss with an open net that would have cut it to 3-2 with 10 mins to play as you'll see. HVE IT!!

Bolton vs Manchester United 0-5 Highlights Goals 2011 Video Rooney Hat trick

Bolton vs Manchester United 0-5 Highlights Goals 2011 Video Rooney Hat trick

Week 4

8 really is great!! It's only week 4 of the EPL and already Wayne Rooney has notched 8 league goals....EIGHT, and after last week's 8 goal outburst vs Arsenal I thought this video was appropriate. Take it away Count.

Saturday's performance at Bolton showed that Manchester United aren't planing on relinquishing their EPL title any time soon. Sir Alex Ferguson's side continued where they left off after last week's 8-2 win vs Arsenal, with a 5-0 demolition at the Wanderer's expense. United were a well oiled machine with Rooney notching his second straight hat-trick and Chicharito, who was making his first start of the campaign scoring two goals, the first 5 mins in. United's energy and pace took Bolton out of the game from the start and they didn't take their foot off the pedal.  I LOVE watching this team!

SIR ALEX FURGUSON

SAF has really put a team together with the right combination of experience, youth and hunger. It's no question why he is the best manager in the world. This new look team is really having fun out there and they're very exciting to watch. Even 20 year old goalie David De Gea who was rumoured to start on the bench over Anders Lindegaard got the start and played well when called upon.  He made a fantastic diving save off Ivan Klasnic's long range effort and then United scored 74 secs later.

I got to enjoy this wonderful game up at the Main Event on a beautiful stunning day but the game was over 25 mins in. After Chicharito's opened the scoring after 5 mins, Rooney scored two and had United up 3-0 in the 25th.
PHIL JONES

Rooney's second goal came on the end of a Phil Jones's spectacular run into the box.  The young defender's statue is growing with every game. After the score was 3-0, the atmosphere at the Main Event sort of dropped off a bit which was a bit of a disappointment.  I guess because we all knew that United had the 3 points in the bag people started drinking more than singing. This fixture last season was a bit different. United's away form was very poor and it took a late Micheal Owen header to salvage a 2-2 draw. Last season at the Main Event, we were getting use to United slugging out away games which makes the atmosphere more tense and nervous which in turn can be more exciting. It's weird, you always want to win but when it becomes a blowout sometimes it's not as fun. Don't get me wrong, my heart loves these games. I remember a few games last year where I would be having mini heart attacks throughout the 90 mins which isn't so much fun. Here's a look at the updated EPL Table with United still on top.

This Sunday September 18th at 11am is one of the games that I look forward to all season. It's Manchester United at home vs Chelsea. Out of all the teams in the EPL, Chelsea is the team that I despise the most.  I always have and always will which is why I love these matches so much. Though it's still early in the season, it's a monstrous game in the standings. If we win this game, we jump 5 points ahead of Chelsea and it would be a huge statement to the rest of the league. I'm a little sad that Tom Cleverley will miss this game due to injury (out 3-4 weeks after sustaining a knock in the Bolton game) because I feel he would shine vs Chelsea but it wont matter.  United are in such fine form at the moment so I predict a 3-1 United win.

Before Sunday's Chelsea game, United play their first group stage game in the UEFA Champions League away vs Benfica on Wednesday September 14 @ 2:45pm.  After all the teams had qualified for this years Champions League they are divided up into 8 groups of 4 teams each. The groups are determined by a live draw that was held on August 25 2011. United's group is group C and includes United (England) Benfica (Portugal), FC Basel (Swiss) and Otelul Galati (Romanian).  Each team plays each other twice, once at home and once away with the top 2 teams from each group advancing to the knock out stage which begins on February 14. United have made it to 3 of the last 4 Champions League Finals including last years 3-1 defeat to Barcelona.  It's the hardest club trophy to win and takes the entire season. Here's a link to explain the Champions League a bit more....

Well this season has been fantastic so far and I can't wait to see that continue this week. This week's chant is Take Me Home.

Take me home, United road,
To a place that I belong,
To Old Trafford, to see United,
Take me home, United road,
 Till next time
HVE IT!!
